5 Options for Putting Your Best Face Forward This Year

With the start of a new year within sight, many people start thinking about resolutions. One resolution that’s easy to keep is putting your best face forward. It’s easier than ever to look your best with the help of cosmetic procedures.

There are multiple options available for cosmetic procedures. Many of them are minimally invasive with nearly immediate results. Our providers at eleven19 Medical + Weight Loss offer this guide to five of these options.

Laser hair removal

Millions of Americans — especially women — live with unwanted facial hair. Rather than live with shaving or waxing, consider laser hair removal. It’s a great alternative that can provide permanent results.

At eleven19 Medical Spa + Weight Loss, we use the Lightsheer laser by Lumenis®. The Lightsheer uses two different types of wavelengths of laser energy to destroy hair at the root. This can effectively treat any areas of unwanted hair, even your eyebrows and upper lip.

Vivace™ radiofrequency microneedling

One of the latest treatments for improving the appearance of your skin is Vivace radiofrequency microneedling

This innovative treatment method uses radiofrequency to assist microneedling, a procedure that uses tiny, thin needles to make micro-tears in the skin. As these micro-tears heal, they stimulate the production of collagen, which creates healthier-looking skin.

During a Vivace radiofrequency microneedling session, we numb the treatment area so you’re comfortable. The procedure takes about 45 minutes. Although you see some benefits right away, it typically takes three sessions, spaced about six weeks apart, to achieve maximum results.

Botox®

Botox procedures aren’t like they were in the 1980s. Today, Botox produces subtle, natural-looking results that still have a dramatic effect.

Botox injections use a very small dose of the purified botulin toxin to block signals that make your muscles contract. Those contractions are what creates wrinkles. Botox is the No. 1 anti-aging procedure because it’s quick and produces dramatic results without lengthy recovery times.

Botox procedures can make you look dramatically younger by smoothing out wrinkles, like those on your forehead or around your eyes.

The procedure only takes a few minutes, but the results gradually appear over the next three to seven days. Most of our clients need to repeat the procedure every three to four months.

Kybella®

If you feel self-conscious about your double chin, Kybella might be the solution. Also called submental fullness, a double chin often doesn’t have anything to do with your weight.

Kybella uses a synthetic version of a molecule your body makes called deoxycholic acid. When injected into your double chin area, the deoxycholic acid destroys the fat cells responsible for the double chin.

As the injection works to destroy the fat cells, your double chin naturally begins to shrink. You may need two or three treatments to see the full results.

IPL photofacial

The IPL photofacial uses pulses of light to get rid of unattractive skin discolorations like rosacea, sun damage, and age spots. The light energy passes through the outer layer of your skin to reach the dermal layer underneath, where it breaks up the melanin in your cells to reveal healthier skin cells.

At the same time that it targets the melanin in your cells, the IPL photofacial causes your blood vessels to restrict, which tightens your skin and makes it look younger. It also stimulates your skin to produce more collagen, which has a youthful, plumping effect.

You can go into the new year looking your best when you try one or more of these minimally invasive procedures. If you want to book a consultation or ask questions about these procedures, we would love to speak with you.
